Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Zorl (zorl.cloud) is operated by Zorath LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what we store when you use our website and tools, including zorath-env, and what we do with it. The short version: reading the site collects nothing, the contact form keeps what you type into it, and the CLI tool sends nothing anywhere.

2. Information We Collect

Browsing zorl.cloud: Reading the site collects nothing. There is no analytics, no advertising identifier, no tracking pixel, and no cookie is set for a visitor.

The contact form: When you send a message we store the name, address, subject and message you typed, along with the time it arrived, the network address it came from and the identification string your browser sends. The first four are how we answer you. The last three are how we tell a person from a script and keep the form from being abused. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not pass any of it to anyone else.

Accounts: Registration is not open to the public at this time. Where an account does exist, we store the address it was created with and set one cookie so the browser stays signed in. That cookie is what makes the account work. It is not used to follow you anywhere and it is never set for a visitor who does not sign in. Actions taken on an account are written to an internal record so that both sides can see what happened.

zorath-env CLI Tool: The zorath-env command-line tool runs entirely on your local machine. It does not send any data to external servers, does not collect telemetry, and does not make network requests. Your environment variables and configuration files never leave your machine.

3. Third-Party Services

GitHub: Our source code is hosted on GitHub. If you interact with our GitHub repository (issues, pull requests, discussions), GitHub's privacy policy applies to that interaction.

Crates.io: zorath-env is distributed via crates.io (Rust package registry). Downloads are logged by crates.io according to their privacy policy.

4. Data Security

What we hold sits on infrastructure we run ourselves, not on a third-party form or marketing service, and the site is served only over an encrypted connection. Messages sent through the contact form can be read by the operator of the platform and by nobody else, and access to them is recorded.

The zorath-env tool is designed with privacy in mind. It operates completely offline and locally, so there is nothing about your use of it for anyone to secure.

5. Your Rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Send that request through the contact form and say which message or account you mean. A message you send us is kept until you ask us to remove it, or until we no longer need it to answer you.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
